Wah wah wah wah You exist so you must be of upmost interest But I will terrify you as your local therapist Shut that mouth now, shut that mouth now Now I insist that you invent a cutthroat company Then I prescribe you take a knife and stab that fat baby Shut that door now, not done with you Shut that mouth now, you son of fools I'm so repulsive, I don't like it, I'm so repulsive, why can't I have it? But I'm significant ''Oh that's nothing new'' But I'm legitimate ''You're a son of fools'' I'm so repulsive Wah wah wah wah Now humour me and let them squeal or see what they invent You cannot adjust enough to make the man repent Shut that door now your time is up Shut that mouth now, you filthy fuck, we live in love I'm so impulsive, I don't like it, I'm so repulsive, why can't I have it? Cause I'm magnificent ''Oh that's nothing new'' And I'm indiscriminate ''Well that's good for you'' I'm so repulsive, I don't like it, I'm so repulsive, why can't I have it? Cause I'm magnificent ''Oh that's nothing new'' Cause I'm magnificent ''Well that's good for you'' I'm so repulsive Bring out the acid drops, show us your babies scars I don't want no conversation, listen to the clock You won't be a victim here if no one gives a fuck Lalalalalalalalala I'm impulsive, I don't like it, I'm so repulsive, why can't I have it? Cause I'm magnificent ''Oh that's nothing new'' And I'm indiscriminate ''Well that's good for you'' But I'm legitimate ''Well that's good for you'' I'm so repulsive ''Well that's good for you''

I don't give the game away Because you're afraid of what I'll say And no one dares to challenge me No, I don't give the game away Fifty-move fools, I make the rules Push until I'm pulled their ego falls I won the century, I'm champion I make the rules You're gonna make a film about me And cut all the mediocrities I don't hold my tongue for now one The fight spill out before too long The fight spills out I've got my hands around your neck and nation And you evictors make me more violent You know I'm only right A knight on the side will never abide So you can keep your mother county Because I don't want no family Fifty-move fools, I make the rules Push until I'm pulled their ego falls I won the century, I'm champion I make the rules It's solely me and the weak against humanity Under the lights where you try to discolour me Throwing the shade in my face so I can't breathe Fifty-move fools, I make the rules Push until I'm pulled their ego falls I won the century, I'm champion I make the rules You know I'm only right

So, who's the man who made ya? And who's a man of his word? Yes, you're a loyal player But you're nothing but work So, am I never to heaven? Am I running out of time? Well now that you can live without me You're gonna bury me tonight Now take that number off your shirt And let me back onto the curb And you won't thank me when you learn The fall is fair when you go first It's a pit or a pact, a pillow attack, a shitty fight It's a militant kiss, a hit or a miss, I'm so fucking fried My little rub-down lover, there will always be another You're the cormorant scum Well I can tell you in procession And you know I never lie Well now that you can live without me You're gonna bury me tonight Now take that number off your shirt And let me back onto the curb And you won't thank me when you learn The fall is fair when you go first Now take that number off your shirt And let me back onto the curb And you won't thank me when you learn Let me back into my church, my church, my church, my church

You want the conversation? We're gonna make that bitch choke You want the slip admission? You know that's not the word I chose You want the power preaching? We got your camera's and your god You want the priest to pardon? You might just fall into his arms You might just fall into his arms Lalalalala We gonna let that bird sing But you know that not be the game I'm in Not be the game I'm in Now stand up straight to push the flag and try and take care of your lawn Just take care of your lawn, take care of your lawn, take care of your lawn Lalalalala You take the liberty and take em back and keep the dream right, hey! Say I'm a humble hand of humble means that won't stand by your side, hey! That won't stand by ya That's wants to buy ya Just trying to make the dream right Just trying to make the dream right We gonna let that bird sing But you know that not be the game I'm in Not be the game I'm in We gonna let that bird sing But you know that not be the game I'm in Not be the game I'm in Not be the game I'm in Just trying to make the dream right Just trying to make the dream right

Sunspots 03:07
Written by Julian Cope Sunspots changing glare, walking around with my very best friend I've got a love song in my head, strolling around with my very best friend I look back but I don't see, walking around with my very best friend She looks good, fine to me, I'm in love with my very best friend Eeeeeeoo It goes away Sunspots changing gear, driving around with my very best friend I've got a love song, in my head, holding on to my very best friend We look back but I can't see, moving on to my very best friend She looks good, fine to me, I'm in love with my very best friend Eeeeeeoo It goes away

And there we have it my little babies Maybe you'll ask if it's all been worth it Or maybe you'll ask the desk clerk if there's a better room available File your thoughts away and hope no one ever discovers what you're really thinking Or there's always that door that needs fixing Scream until your vision turns purple Or catch your breath and say something next time because this is your stop Stand there and listen as the words wash through you Or smile politely and whisper "You bore me" Hell, maybe the bell doesn't apply to you Or does the sight of filing people wrap you like a warm blanket? Or maybe, just maybe, there's the love of your life exiting from the church Oh look! Here's mom and dad arriving in that brand new car they've been looking forward to getting And it's practically theirs in a few years time anyway And it's not the right colour no, you're right But they got a deal on it and it's perfect, for the time being anyway And it's the right area, just the right area for the kids, but yes, it's out the way But we have each other and that's enough Were you really studying your reflection in the window? Or were you watching the fence dry with your hand on your hip And a cup of coffee to your lips that you're not really drinking as you mouth the words to the theme tune of that show that makes you wish you still shared a room? But as you turn away, remember three things; One. There is only you Two. There is only you Three. There is only you And failing that maybe you'll buy that white piano in San Diego after all

about

Sweeping away all themes of their previous album (Forge) about “the hero”, here is an album about “the ego”.

On the album, Fassine explore the unique and sometimes distasteful life of chess player Bobby Fischer with track ‘Fifty-Move Fools’ and delve into the notorious and divisive personality of President Nixon with ‘Priest to Pardon’.

Lead single ‘Drerty (Acid Drops)’ is Fassine’s anthem for ‘’self-appointed heroism’’ and is a stinging look at the ‘’modern obsession of self, it touches on individuals whose privilege and realities have all but escaped them’’. With a title inspired by an obscure, hilarious book of put-downs penned by Kenneth Williams, the song “...swims among online fantasists who appear to be drowning in their own martyrdom”.

Visually accompanied by a series of vivid portraits from photographer Jimmy King (Bowie).

Fassine say of the album’s themes “it’s not meant to be didactic; it’s meant to open conversation... often with tongue firmly in cheek”.
